Miles Flint

Miles Flint was appointed President of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications in June 2004. Since joining the company he has
presided over the successful launch of the Walkman™ and Cyber-Shot® brand of phones and has steered Sony Ericsson
in to the fourth position in the global mobile telecommunications market. Under his leadership the company has become the
global title sponsor of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Tour as well as the title sponsor of the Sony Ericsson Open in
Miami, formerly the Nasdaq-100 Open.
Prior to joining Sony Ericsson, Miles Flint was President of European Marketing at Sony Europe, where he was responsible
for the marketing activities of SonyTs electronics business across Europe. Concurrent with his European role, he held the
position of Managing Director of Sony United Kingdom Limited, the umbrella company that encompasses all of Sony's
electronics operations in the UK.
Miles Flint first joined Sony in January 1991 as Managing Director of Sony Broadcast & Communications UK, a division of
Sony serving the UK broadcast and professional audio and video markets. After assuming additional responsibilities in sales
and marketing, Miles Flint was promoted to President of Sony Broadcast & Professional Europe in January 1998.
Prior to Sony, Miles Flint held a series of marketing and product development roles in the fields of computing and
telecommunications, firstly at ICL and then at STC following the merger of the two companies.
Miles Flint is a graduate of London University and has an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management in the UK.
He was born in July 1953 and lives in Maidenhead, UK, with his wife and two daughters.
